Getting some zzz’s is crucial for your rest day. Your body goes into a state of anabolism (aka muscle repair) when you sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, not getting enough sleep decreases the production of glycogen – preferred energy – in your muscles. So make sure to get your snooze on! Aim for 7 to 8 hours!
