“Since stepping foot into Healthy Fit eleven months ago my life has changed in ways I didn’t think possible. I will never forget the day I met Lisa who was not only a weight loss coach, but also a weight loss client. My skepticism was squelched by her success on the program. – she’s lost over 135lbs! Lisa assured me that the seemingly insurmountable mountain ahead of me was one we could climb together. Every journey begins with a single step, right? Well, I’m over half way through mine and Lisa is still cheering me on.
Like many women I know I had tried all sorts of diets. I was even successful at most of them. But, as I’m sure you’ve heard before, I gained it all back and then some. Multiply that by a lifetime of these diets and I was in trouble. I had developed a terrible relationship with food that I wasn’t even aware of and I was in such poor physical shape that a single flight of stairs was daunting.
The weight loss plan offered by Healthy Fit stood out to me because there was no gimmick. There was no quick fix, unbelievable promises, or unattainable goals. As Lisa went over the basics of the program I decided to give it a try for 6 weeks. I had nothing to lose (except weight… I know…).
I also signed up to work with a personal trainer. It seemed like a good way to ease back into working out. It also meant working with a professional who could really help me target specific areas and ensure that I was doing things properly and at a pace I could handle. I also knew myself well enough to know I would struggle to go work-out on my own. Having the personal training appointments helped me get started with a regular work-out routine which was something I desperately needed.
Needless to say, at the end of the first 6 weeks I was so pleased with the results I signed on again (and again and again!). I slowly ramped up my physical activity and continued my weekly weight loss check-ins which kept me on track and accountable for my decisions concerning food from week to week. Meanwhile, the personal training sessions kept me in the gym working out.
I’m excited about the positive changes in my life and I’m looking forward to what’s next. Those first six weeks seem like a distant memory. It is almost a year later and I am a whole new woman. Not only have I discovered a healthier and stronger me, but to my delight, I encountered an entire support network among staff and members at the club who have encouraged me along the way.
